Frequently asked questions
Everything you need for a great night at the theatre.
Golden Bough Playhouse (Founders Theatre and Circle Theatre)
Where do I park at the Golden Bough?
The Golden Bough is in a residential neighborhood, so parking is on the street, and free. There is one accessible parking space in front of the playhouse on Monte Verde Street. Please come a little early and take care not to block driveways.
Do you have hearing assistance?
Yes. The Founders Theatre has audio amplification headsets for patrons with hearing difficulties.
Are there ASL-interpreted performances?
Since 2025, nearly all of PacRep's major productions have included a designated ASL-interpreted performance with a team of two professional American Sign Language interpreters, who translate both dialogue and lyrics live alongside the show. It's part of our commitment to making live theatre more accessible and inclusive for Deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons.
Can I eat and drink in the theatre?
Yes. Concessions at all our venues include cookies, candy, coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, beer and wine, and you are welcome to enjoy them in the auditorium.
Is seating assigned?
The Founders Theatre has assigned seating for PacRep productions; the Circle Theatre has open seating. Theatres open 30 minutes before showtime.
What if I arrive late?
Latecomers are seated at the discretion of the House Manager and may be asked to take their seats at intermission. PacRep accepts no responsibility for inconvenience to latecomers.

Outdoor Forest Theater
Where do I park at the Forest Theater?
There are a limited number of free spaces on the property, including a few accessible spaces, plus free street parking. A drop-off area in the main parking lot lets you unload guests, picnic supplies, blankets and cushions before you park.
Is seating assigned at the Forest Theater?
No, seating is open. The theater opens 90 minutes before showtime. Bench seating can be hard, so we suggest bringing a cushion and a lap blanket.
What should I wear?
It is an outdoor venue, so dress warmly: the weather can shift quickly in Carmel, and layers are best. You may also want an extra blanket or cushion to sit on.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes! You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or dinner. Concessions are also on sale, including cookies, candy, coffee, tea, soft drinks, water and wine.
Do you have hearing assistance outdoors?
Yes. Audio amplification headsets are available for patrons with hearing difficulties.
Can I bring my dog?
Only service animals are allowed at our venues.
