Endowment gift

Without the support of our generous circle of givers, PacRep could not withstand the "whips and scorns of time."

PacRep has an established endowment with the Community Foundation for Monterey County. Gifts to the endowment are held in perpetuity by the Foundation, and the return on the investment supports PacRep's general operations, unless a donor restricts the gift to a specific purpose.

Gifts of any amount are welcome. Most endowment gifts have traditionally been made through a donor's estate as a planned gift, but current gifts of stock, real estate or cash are accepted as well.

You may create your own named fund, in memory or in honor of someone or in support of a specific program, with a minimum gift of $10,000. If your gift is an irrevocable charitable remainder trust, life insurance or real estate gift designated to the endowment, the fund is created at the time of the gift.

How a gift to the endowment works

  • When making a gift, you decide to make it permanent.
  • PacRep places the gift in its established fund with the Community Foundation for Monterey County.
  • The return on the investment helps PacRep further its mission.

The benefits to you

  • A lasting legacy
  • The ability to honor or remember someone
  • The ability to support a specific ongoing PacRep project
  • An immediate tax deduction when the gift is made
  • Possibly reduced estate taxes (depending on the size of your estate)
  • Substantial future support for a cause that is important to you

To discuss a gift, or to learn more about PacRep's planned giving program, please call Executive Director Stephen Moorer or Development Executive John Newkirk at 831-622-0700 ext. 4108, or email contact@pacrep.org.
